REDISCOVER YOUR LOVE OF BOOKS
“If what you’re looking for is encouragement and to rediscover your love of books, then RAR is definitely the place to do it.”
Your playbook for a relaxed, bookish summer your kids won’t forget. Inside, you’ll find:
Three age tracks to choose from:
This playbook is just for you! Summer reading isn’t just for the kids, after all. Inside the Guide, you’ll find
Nonfiction Mama Book Club: We’re reading The Ten Habits of Happy Mothers by Meg Meeker. Read and discuss with us through the summer, and then spend an evening with the author, Dr. Meg Meeker, on Zoom!
Fiction Mama Book Club: We’re reading Once a Queen by Sarah Arthur (a fairy tale mamas will love). Read and discuss with us through the summer, and then spend an evening with the author, Sarah Arthur, on Zoom!
But that doesn’t mean it needs to be complicated or fussy. Make happy summer memories and fall in love with books at the same time.
The Family Book Club is for everyone, but Mama Book Club? That’s just for you. Fall back in love with your own reading life.
BROUGHT OUR WHOLE FAMILY TOGETHER
“It’s brought our family together through enjoying the same book. It is definitely the most joyful part of our homeschool!”

It’s a whole-family book club for the summer that introduces your kids of all ages to some of the best fairy tales.
If you have younger kids, you’ll read aloud Classic Fairy Tales by Scott Gustafson through the summer, and then use the ideas in the Fairy Tale Summer Guide to have rich conversations and make meaningful memories throughout the summer. This book is the ultimate art-gallery-in-the-lap. You won’t regret reading it with your kids!
If you have older kids, you’ll read On the Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness by Andrew Peterson, the first book in the Wingfeather Saga.
The Fairy Tale Summer Guide will walk you through the Read-Aloud Revival’s relaxed, bookish book-club model to enjoy the book and make memorable moments with your kids. You’ll also get front-row seats to exclusive Zoom events with the author, map-maker, and creature-designer for the book… so your kids can learn to do the same with their own stories!
Got kids in both age groups? Oh yes, whole-family learning is our specialty. We have a track for families with a wide age range, to help you use both books to create a relaxed, bookish, and memorable summer with your kids.

Yup, really. Book Clubs are better with a wide variety of ages, after all!
You’ll find guidance for choosing one of three tracks, depending on your kids’ ages.
