When I first saw Rebecca Bellingham’s TedX talk, Why We Should All Be Reading Aloud to Children, I was so moved that I watched it twice in a row. Then I shot a note off to the Read-Aloud Revival podcast manager: “can we get her on the podcast?”
And we did. :) You’re in for a treat in this first episode of season 9!
In this episode, you’ll hear:
- the theater of reading aloud
- having difficult discussions around books
- Rebecca’s tips for sharing enthusiasm for books with our kids

Don’t miss the 1 hour audio books of Alexander McCall Smith’s series about Precious Ramotswe as a child! It was so fun to discover these with my kids after enjoying the #1 Ladies’ Detective series in my own. The first one is called The Great Cake Mystery. Really, really fun to listen to!
So glad you are back!! As I was listening to Let the Children Speak with my daughter, it was a nice surprise for us to hear her telling her favorite book. Thanks for that awesome feature on the podcast!!!
Thank you! Loved this episode. I got free list but didn’t see Librivox information???
Look under the section called “Best Audio Books” and you should find it! If you don’t, shoot a note to support@readaloudrevival.com and we’ll send it to ya.
I missed this podcast so much this summer! Glad you’re back and can’t wait to see what you have for us :).
Enjoyed! Thank you! Always feel inspired to read and to push on reading with my kids.
