I think this is probably my favorite Eric Carle book of all. Try reading it when your child (or you) is a bit on the grouchy side... and see if it doesn't lighten the mood. "Wanna fight?"

Ladybug is little, but he still knows how to use fighting words! I found myself reading this book to my own little ones over and over again. Especially wonderful if you like to use character voices.
